Amazon trumps Google in the Indian smart speaker race in Q2 2018

Recently we saw a report from Strategy Analytics, suggesting Google Home Mini to lead the smart speaker race worldwide in Q2 2018. Now, according to IDC, it looks like Amazon is leading the race in Q2 2018 in India. The report states that the smart speaker industry has grown manifolds over the past few months because if the ‘technology consumption habits’ of the users and more affordable data connectivity plans.
