SIM cards issued through Aadhaar face no risk of disconnection: UIDAI

In a joint statement, the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has clarified that mobile subscribers need not worry about their SIM cards getting deactivated if they were procured by using Aadhaar card.
